Jeremy Anderson, M.A.

Jeremy graduated from Stony Brook University with a B.A in Psychology, which was followed by a M.A. in I/O Psychology from Hofstra University. His professional experiences include internships in Labor and Employee relations in the Northshore LIJ Health System Corporate HR department, assessment centers in a consulting capacity and a full time position as an Organizational Development Specialist in NSLIJHS's corporate university. After taking time off to snowboard down all the famous bunny slopes in northcentral NY State, he returned to Hofstra to pursue his Ph.D. with his primary interests being in Organization Development. Jeremy also interned as a researcher in the Institutional and Market Research department at Hofstra University. He is now part of the Island Peer Review Organization, an organization that works with New York state doing external performance review to make sure that HMO's and other managed care organizations are complying with medicare and medicaid standards. Jeremy’s current dissertation research is focused on health care safety with an emphasis on medical errors. He played soccer at the collegiate level, attempted to play the guitar and is always a danger to others while snowboarding.


Lori Britt Horvath, M.A.

Lori is President and CEO of L. Britt Consulting, LLC, a firm specializing in Human Capital Strategy, Individual & Organizational Development, Productivity & Quality and Learning. Her areas of expertise include program & project management, executive coaching, career counseling, change leadership and continuous process improvement. The mission of Britt Consulting is to combine pragmatic business leadership with leading edge behavioral science practices to drive performance improvement at the individual, team and organizational levels (www.brittconsulting.com). Lori is ABD as of Aug 2007 and holds an M.A. in I/O Psychology from Hofstra and a B.S. in Management and Communications from Adelphi University. Her research interest is Organizational Stress Management, and she is particularly interested in focusing on the intersection of I/O and Clinical Psychology in order to help reduce work stress, enhance employees' coping and resilience, and improve overall employee wellness. Lori is an Adjunct Professor at NYU in the Organizational Behavior and Communications BS Program. She is active in her community as a volunteer career counselor, parish music minister, and Girl Scout Leader. In her limited spare time, she enjoys reading, tennis and traveling with her husband, daughter and son.


Ryan Herson, M.A.

Ryan is originally from a community in Maryland, just outside of Washington, DC. He attended East Carolina University where he studied Psychology and Communications and played some football for the Pirates. Shortly after graduation Ryan was a project and design coordinator for a company in Baltimore. As part of his job, he traveled a great deal throughout the States for specific projects. Thereafter Ryan moved to New York City to obtain his Masters degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. During that time he worked in Strategic Services for BBDO at their global headquarters. After BBDO, Ryan then worked for Brand Asset Valuator, which is Young & Rubicam Brands' consultancy division. After Ryan's tenure at Y&R he then began work at Questus, which is an interactive consultancy where he was their Director of Strategic Business Development. Presently, Ryan is an Organizational Change Management Consultant for Oracle. As a Consulting Manager, Ryan is required to work directly with executive level leadership. Ryan's research interests include Goal Setting, Leadership, Organizational Justice and Service Recovery. His personal interests include music and the arts as well as sports, sports, and more sports. He is involved in several activities throughout New York City including coordinating professional networking events, charity activities, active in career counseling and conducting speeches at various institutions. Ryan stands by his motto that he will try anything at least twice. A unique fact most people do not know is that he has written over 6 books of poetry.


Cliff Pincus, MBA

Cliff Pincus is currently working at Continental Airlines in their Sales and Marketing Department. Cliff earned his BBA in Marketing and MBA in Management Information Systems from Hofstra University. He has worked in various positions in Airlines Sales, Marketing and Management. He is currently involved in research associated with ways in which feedback can be provided to employees which will change their behaviors and impact key organizational outcomes. When time allows, he enjoys traveling, sailing, hiking, and spending time with his family.


Bennett Price, M.A.

Bennett is currently employed as an Associate Managerial Consultant at E. Rogers Associates, Inc. In this capacity, Bennett serves as an external consultant applying the scientific principles of Industrial/Organizational Psychology to many of the nation’s leading businesses. The breadth of his work experience includes the areas of selection, multi-source feedback, performance management, and career development path modeling. He holds a Master of Arts degree in I/O Psychology from Florida International University which he earned in the spring of 2003. As an active researcher at Hofstra, Bennett is interested in the effects of feedback on performance and the accuracy of objective and subjective performance ratings. When Bennett can salvage spare time he enjoys: golfing, scuba diving, tennis, airsoft, and anything active that might offer a well earned reprieve from study.


Simone Rubenstein, M.A.

Simone received her Bachelors degree in Psychology from Stony Brook University and Masters degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Hofstra University. During her tenure as a Masters student, Simone began working for Lieberman Research Group as a Study Director, primarily conducting research geared toward physician and consumer based pharmaceutical marketing. Simone is currently working at Questus, an interactive marketing, media and design agency, as a Research Manager. In this position, she aids clients by quantifying measures such as customer satisfaction, website usability and advertising awareness, and collaborates on the development of diverse marketing, research and customer service initiatives. Her academic research interests generally fall into the category of quantitative analyses, but Simone’s most recent work focuses more specifically on survey methodology, customer satisfaction and loyalty. Simone also enjoys many non-research related activities such as traveling, skiing, playing tennis, golf, guitar and piano.


Astrid Sipos, M.A., M.S., MBA, MSPS

Astrid is currently Director of Human Resources at the Electronic Systems Division of Parker Hannifin Corporation. Additionally, she is an adjunct professor at Hofstra. Academically, Astrid earned an MBA and M.A. in I/O Psychology from Hofstra, an M.S. in Industrial/Management Engineering from C.W. Post University, and an MSPS in Management Auditing from the New School for Social Research. Astrid’s current research and work interests include performance management and employee engagement. With time permitting, her hobbies include weaving and raising exotic plants.


Corbin C. Wong, M.S.

Corbin received his B.S. in Psychology with a Business Option from Penn State University, University Park in 2003. Subsequent to his undergraduate studies, Corbin pursued an M.S. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from San Jose State University. During his graduate training, Corbin worked for several Fortune 500 companies such as eBay, Inc., Citigroup, and Oliver Wyman – Delta Organization & Leadership in the area of organizational effectiveness. Corbin is currently a member of Deutsche Bank’s learning and development team. With a passion for advocating for equality in the workplace, Corbin is also interested in diversity management and discrimination issues, which resulted in a Masters thesis titled, “The Negative Work-Related Outcomes of Perceived Ethnic and Sex Discrimination.” Under the supervision of Dr. Jinyan Fan, Corbin’s current dissertation research examines how applicants’ perceptions of employment discrimination might influence their faking behavior on non-cognitive measures in selection contexts. Corbin has served as a teaching assistant for Dr. Fan’s doctoral level Factor Analysis class and masters level Statistics lab and Dr. Shapiro’s Introductory and Organizational Psychology classes. He has presented his research at various conferences around the world and has published in the Journal of Cross-Cultural Psychology and Personality and Individual Differences. When not reading journal articles, he enjoys anything written by Tom Perrotta and Arthur Nersesian. Corbin is also an avid traveler who has spent time in Israel, Japan, the Czech Republic, and Spain to name a few. As a tennis fanatic and a former varsity tennis player, one of Corbin’s goals in life is to be able to travel to all four tennis grand slams in the world. He also enjoys tasting mojitos from around the world, with the intention to someday publish a guide called, “Mojito Madness!” On the weekends, you can usually find him studying at a coffee shop in one of New York’s uber-hip neighborhoods.
