Ceremony Attendance and Cap and Gown Orders

To confirm graduation ceremony attendance and order caps and gowns, please visit the My Hofstra Portal. Click the Hofstra Online tab, and select the Personal Menu to find this feature. Simply follow the easy online instructions, carefully check the order, and click submit. An order confirmation and the graduation information will display. Orders for academic attire must be received by April 16 for Spring 2010 Commencement and TBD for Midyear 2010 Commencement.


To Pick Up Your Cap and Gown

Spring Commencement 2010:
You may pick up your academic attire in the Plaza Rooms located in the Mack Student Center between the hours of 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 12th or Thursday, May 13th or one hour before the commencement ceremony. (Please be ready to present your Hofstra ID card.)


To Return Your Cap and Gown

Spring Commencement:

  • For Undergraduates: Academic attire should be returned to the Tent located in front of the James M. Shuart Stadium immediately following the ceremony.  Failure to return your academic attire will result in diplomas and/or requests for transcripts not being issued or honored until academic attire is accounted for.
  • For Graduates, Doctorates and Law School: Academic attire should be returned to the PFC (Physical Fitness Center) immediately following the ceremony.  Failure to return your academic attire will result in diplomas and/or requests for transcripts not being issued or honored until academic attire is accounted for.

Midyear Commencement:
Academic attire should be returned to the PFC (Physical Fitness Center) immediately following the ceremony. Failure to return your academic attire will result in diplomas and/or requests for transcripts not being issued or honored until academic attire is accounted for.
